Description

The pressure leaf filter, also known as the  leaf filter, is a high-efficiency, energy-saving, closed-operation precision clarification and filtration equipment. The product has a unique design structure, high filtration efficiency, and good filtrate transparency and clarity. No filter paper, filter cloth or filter element is consumed, only a small amount of filter aid is consumed, the filtration cost is low, and the equipment is easy to operate and maintain. The equipment can be customized for manual slag discharge and automatic slag discharge, and the filtering area ranges from 2 square meters to 100 square meters. According to the process requirements of filtration, the airtight container has two materials of carbon steel and stainless steel for users to choose.

Features of pressure leaf filter

  • Mechanical vibration for automatic slag removal, open the butterfly valve, start the vibration slag removal device, and remove the slag by vibration to reduce the labor intensity of workers.
  • The specially customized filter plate does not need filter cloth and paper. The automatic slag removal filter uses a specially made stainless steel composite woven filter screen, which is corrosion resistant, easy to clean, has a long service life, can be used continuously for 3-5 years, and has low maintenance cost.
  • Closed and environmentally friendly, in line with environmental protection standards, pipeline connection, fully closed filtration, products do not volatilize, do not throw away, and have good quality.
  • High energy saving efficiency, filtering the residue or activated carbon (clay) in the liquid, or decolorization filtering, can replace the plate and frame filter.

Vertical Pressure Leaf Filter Working Principle

The closed plate filter is mainly composed of a complete filtering system consisting of a filter host, a delivery pump, pipelines, valves and other auxiliary equipment. The filter host is composed of filter tank, filter screen, cover lifting mechanism, automatic slag removal device, etc.

Filtering principle of pressure leaf filter

  • The filter pump inputs the materials into the tank and fills it. Under the effect of pressure, the solid impurities in the materials are trapped by the filter screen, forming a filter cake on the filter screen. The filtrate enters the outlet pipe through the filter screen and flows out of the tank, thus obtaining clear filtrate.
  • With the increase of filtering time, more and more solid impurities are trapped on the filter screen, which makes the thickness of filter cake increase continuously, so that the filtering resistance increases and the pressure in the tank increases. When the pressure rises to a certain value, it is necessary to discharge the slag, stop the input of filtrate to the tank, blow compressed air into the tank through the overflow pipe, press the filtrate in the tank into other containers, and blow dry the filter cake. Close the compressed air, open the butterfly valve, start the vibrator to vibrate the filter blade, shake down the filter cake on the filter screen and discharge it through the slag discharge port below the tank.
  • The liquid after preliminary solid-liquid separation is used to support and adsorb diatomite and other filter aids through stainless steel filter screen blades in the sealed enclosure of the filter tank. After the filter aid is mixed with the material in the mixing tank, it circulates through the delivery pump to form a stable filter cake layer on the filter screen, that is, diatomite pre-coating.
  • After pre-coating, start filtering. Fine filter aid particles can provide countless fine channels to absorb suspended impurities in the liquid, so that the material can be filtered substantially through the filter cake layer to remove impurities, flow into the inner chamber of the filter blade, and then flow out of the clear liquid through the liquid outlet pipe. In addition, if decolorization is required during filtration, a certain proportion of activated carbon shall be added.

  • Oil industry: filtration of machine pressed crude oil, gel oil, hydrogenated oil, winterized oil, etc.
  • Food industry: activated carbon decolorization and filtration of sugar liquor such as granulated sugar and glucose, and clarification and filtration of alcohol, fruit juice and cool drinks.
