Description

Stainless Steel Plate and Frame Filter Press For Sugar Syrup uses filter pad, filter cloth or filter aids such as diatomite, activated carbon and perlite as filtering unit, clarifying and filtrating the liquid adsorbed and decolorized by activated carbon.

Characteristics:

Simple structure, stable function, simple operation, good filtration efficiency.

Application:

The coarse and fine filtration of carbonized sugar, sulfide sugar, fructose syrup, glucose syrup and varieties of starch syrup.

Working Principle

Stainless Steel Plate and Frame Filter Press For Sugar Syrup consists of multiple filter units which are compsed of filter plate, filter frame and filter pad. Filter pad is put between plate and frame as a support plate of diatomite to absorb solid particles. The building of pre-coating layer before filtration: The certain proporation of diatomaceous liquid is pumped into the filter, flowing circulately and producing the pressure difference so the diatomite is more evenly adsorbed on the surface of the filter pad to form a filter layer and a pre-coating. The raw liquid is pumped into the filter, flowing through the filter unit, the residue in the filtrate is trapped by the diatomaceous layer and filter pad, the clear filtrate is collected and flows out from the outlet. The whole filtration process is that. One more thing to note: As more and more impurities are filtered out, the filtration efficiency gradually slows down. Therefore, a certain amount of diatomaceous earth needs to be added through a diaphragm metering pump to form a new filter layer to maintain the filtration performance of the filter, thus extending the filtration time and increasing the total amount of filtration once.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of sugar syrups can this machine filter?

This filter press handles both coarse and fine filtration for carbonized sugar, sulfide sugar, fructose syrup, glucose syrup, and various starch syrups, effectively clarifying liquids decolorized by activated carbon.

What filtering media and aids can be used with this equipment?

It uses filter pads, filter cloths, or filter papers as the primary unit. To improve performance, you can incorporate filter aids like diatomaceous earth (diatomite), activated carbon, and perlite.

How does the pre-coating process work for syrup filtration?

A diatomaceous liquid is pumped through the machine to create a pressure difference. This builds a uniform pre-coat layer on the filter pads, which traps fine impurities and maintains optimal flow.

What are the temperature and sealing specifications for food safety?

The machine features food-grade white silicone rubber seals and can withstand operating temperatures up to 180°C, making it highly reliable for processing hot sugar syrups safely.

How can I prevent the filtration process from slowing down as impurities build up?

You can continuously add a small amount of diatomaceous earth using a diaphragm metering pump. This forms a fresh filter layer over impurities, extending the filtration cycle and increasing overall throughput.
